At US Beer Crates, we take beer pretty seriously, as you can probably imagine. From smooth and creamy stouts to bitter and hoppy IPAs, we love them all. There’s a joy that comes alongside cracking open a cold one and kicking back; that joy is compounded when you make it yourself.
That’s why we’re proud to offer the ideal beer storage solution: a 24 bottle beer crate that makes homebrewing a much simpler ordeal. Forget about soggy cardboard. This is the only way to go.
At the end of the day, we love all things beer. That’s why in today’s post, we’d like to highlight three (well...technically four) of our favorite fictional beer drinkers. Who will make the list? Keep reading to find out!
Let’s start with a classic. Good old Homer Simpson is seen pretty regularly with a Duff Beer in his hands whether it’s a bottle at home or a pint at Moe’s. In one episode he is even quoted as saying, “Ah, good old trustworthy beer. My love for you will never die!” You know, Homer, we kind of feel the same way.
Okay, yes; The Dude is primarily known for drinking White Russians, but there are plenty of scenes in this classic film with The Dude, Walter, and Donnie drinking beers at the bowling alley. He does, after all, refer to them as “oat sodas” near the end of the film, and we’ll always be grateful for such an awesome new way to refer to a beer.
Jake and Elwood Blues
“Were Jake and Elwood big beer drinkers?” you might be asking yourself. Take a moment to remember back to the famous scene at Bob’s Country Bunker. (You know, the place where they listen to both kinds of music--”country and western” and the band plays a set as “The Good Ole Blues Brothers Boys.”) At the end of the scene, the band finds out they’re getting paid $200, but drank $300 worth of beer.
Who Are Your Favorites?
The list of famous beer drinkers is nearly endless, but fictional and historical alike, we are happy to be in their ranks. As we said above, there’s just something special about beer.
Abraham Lincoln himself once said, “I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer.”
If you’re a homebrewer who just wants to share the latter, then you’re in good company! At US Beer Crates, we’re proud to offer our 24 bottle beer crate as the ideal beer storage solution.
